mCards Environments

There are two environments available for a mobile app developer:

Sandbox - The Sandbox environment (also referred to as the UAT environment) supports development and testing activity without use of real cards or real money.

Production - Once the mobile app development is completed on the Sandbox environment, the application will be subjected to an mCards certification process. After approval, the application can then be promoted to the Production environment.

Note that the Sandbox environment is limited as follows:

• Digital Wallets are not Supported - It is not possible to provision an mCard to a digital wallet in the Sandbox. Digital wallets are only supported in production.
• Fictitious Funds - The funds in the Sandbox environment are not real money. Transaction activity and card loads all utilize fictitious funds.
